2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, finely diced or grated
2 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup vinegar
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup ketchup
2 sides pork spareribs
Directions:
Melt butter. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for ½ hour. Brush sauce over spareribs. Cook over low, hot coals for 1 hour, turning and basting meat every 10 minutes.
